Single Action Shooting Society
SASS matches combine action shooting with period authentic
single action revolvers, lever action rifle and shotgun.
Typically called Cowboy Action shooting, It's the closest
you'll get to the Old West short of a time machine.
USPSA
United States Practical Shooting Association
USPSA Matches combine the elements of power, accuracy and speed
in the exciting sport of action pistol shooting. Courses of fire
can range from 6 rounds to more than 30 rounds, in courses that
test a shooters ability to aim fast and think on their feet.
Members of the USPSA are ranked against other shooters across
the United States by shooting standard courses of fire called classifiers.
ICORE
International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts
ICORE combines elements of the Bianchi Cup, IPSC, and the Steel
Challenge into demanding competition exclusively for revolvers.
A variety of both falling and stationary steel plates are used in ICORE
events as well as a standard NRA D-1 paper target.

IDPA
International Defensive Pistol Association
IDPA is a shooting sport that uses practical equipment suitable
for self defense to solve simulated real world self defense scenarios.
The main goal of IDPA matches is to test the skill and ability
of the individual, and not of the equipment or gamesmanship.
IPSC
International Practical Shooting Confederation.
IPSC is the international organization of more than 60 member
countries which conduct action pistol matches. The USPSA is
the United States region of the IPSC, and sanctions matches
within the US.
